Our philosophy
Basketry
Fan palm, raffia, hemp, wicker... all these were the raw materials Mediterranean people first used to make tools to protect themselves from the sun, to store and transport fresh food or to decorate their homes. For that reason, going back to our roots, we wanted to create baskets, bags, hats, rugs, placemats, baskets, lamps, wood stores and flowerpots in these rustic, resistant, traditional and at the same time modern textures.
CLAY
Since 1860 our family has been moulding the earth with their hands and a lathe to make essential household utensils and tools. Our range includes those once made in our factory (plates, jugs, bowls, cups, flowerpots, oil and vinegar cruets, glasses...) and those that today reflect the creativity of our artists to give joy and light to any corner of the home.
GLASS
Blown glass is a centuries-old art form in Mallorca, which is why we wanted to pay tribute to the work of these artisans by compiling a selection of objects for the home crafted from this material which, thanks to its transparency and colour, stands out in any environment and blends in with it.
TEXTILES
In Mallorca, the textile tradition has been alive since the times when the island was a necessary stopover on the Silk Road that linked Europe with Asia. There are still a few factories from that time producing fabrics in the traditional way. At Terraorigens we have carefully selected the best producers of linen, hemp and cotton to create linens and textiles for the home and everyday life. From tablecloths, table runners, cushions, curtains, bedspreads, tea towels, aprons and sarongs... in natural fabrics that are pleasant to the touch and to use.
